Variations of Habanero Mango Salsa

This Mango Salsa has a couple of variations. Want to add more of a kick? Just add in the Habanero seeds. Looking to turn down the heat? Replace the Habanero with a Jalapeño instead. Another option is to add tomato and cucumber for a more hearty vegetable-based salsa that still has a crunch.

Whatever your variation might be, it’s never wrong to experiment a bit with this salsa recipe. It’s a fun way to add color to the plate.

This Habanero Mango Salsa adds freshness to any dish.

Mango: Fresh, ripe mangoes are the essence of this recipe. Chop up and cube two mangoes.
Habanero: Known for its spicy flavor profile, this pepper kicks up anything you’re making with it. You can decide to add in or leave out the seeds.
Avocado: Cube the avocado and add it to your bowl with the mango. The fattiness of the avocado compliments the sweetness and tartness of the mango.
Red Onion: Freshly diced red onion adds zest to this side.
Lime juice: Citrus brightens the dish. Use fresh limes instead of canned lime juice for the best results.
Cilantro: This herb will work with the lime juice and compliment the mango, avocado and onion.

This mango salsa can be enjoyed as a side, condiment, dip or appetizer. Store the salsa in the fridge for up to three days in the fridge in an airtight container.
