Juicy and sweet, this Gummy Bear shot is refreshing and tastes just like your favorite candy.
- Raspberry Vodka: This flavored vodka can easily be found at just about any liquor store. Pick out the raspberry Smirnoff for anywhere between $8 – 12.
- Peach Schnapps: Schnapps, or a peach-flavored liquor are compliment the berry-flavored vodka.
- Sweet n’ sour mix: A staple for any liquor cabinet is sweet n’ sour mix. It’s exactly what it sounds like – it’s sweet and it’s sour! The mix is a combination of lemon and lime juice, sugar and water.
- Lemon lime mixer: Traditionally, the Gummy Bear shot used a lemon lime soda, such as Sprite to fill. To cut down on sugar, I like using a lemon or lime seltzer or sparkling water to replace the soda.
How to Make a Gummy Bear Drink
Making this drink is quite simple and only requires a couple of standard ingredients.
First, start by taking a glass and filling it with ice. Then, add in your raspberry vodka, peach schnapps and sour mix.
Then, you can either stir or shake the ingredients together and strain into a glass and then top with a lemon lime mixer or some sort, such as a White Claw or Sprite.
While this drink is generally served in a large shot glass, it can also be served as a cocktail. Just top off with more of the lemon lime mixer.
Ways to Dress Up your Drink
Looking for ways to add more fun to your shot glass?
Try adding a sugar rim, or a mix of salt and sugar to the rim. You can do this by first taking a lime and sliding it around the rim of the glass so it is slightly wet. Then, dip the rim into salt or sugar (or both!). After your rim is coated, add the contents of the drink and serve.
Another way to jazz up the drink is to add candy to your drink! When I’m making these for a party or a friend, I like to have gummy bears on hand to add to the drink.
