Make this Dutch Oven Pulled Chicken recipe as a quick throw-together recipe that tastes great and is always ready to be put on a BBQ chicken sandwich.

Ingredients
There are only two ingredients needed to make this recipe – it doesn’t get any easier than that!
- Barbecue sauce: Use your favorite barbecue sauce for this dish. Use about a cup of sauce for every pound of chicken – or at least make sure that the chicken is covered and coated in sauce.
- Chicken: You can use thawed breast or thigh meat for this recipe. Chicken thighs are a bit fattier, whereas breasts are leaner. I like to use chicken breasts but any meat from the chicken will do fine.

How to Make Dutch Oven Pulled Chicken
Making this dutch oven pulled chicken is as easy as simply baking chicken breasts.
First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees so it’s nice and hot when you’re ready to bake your chicken.
Next, add your chicken breasts or thighs to your dutch oven and cover with your favorite barbecue sauce. Cover your dutch oven and bake for 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and test with an instant-read thermometer. The chicken needs to be at least 165 degrees before consumption.
Once the chicken has reached temperature, remove it from the sauce and allow it to rest on a cutting board for about 15 minutes.
Once it has rested, pull it apart with two forks. Add the pulled chicken to a bowl and add in about half a cup of sauce that it was baked in. Mix it together well and serve as desired.

I’ve always enjoyed making my pulled chicken into a sandwich, sloppy joe style, or simply eating my pulled chicken as a snack with crackers.
You can also make this recipe with leftover chicken. Simply add your shredded chicken to barbecue sauce and toss. Now you have a whole new meal!
