Dragon Fruit Mojito

The Dragon Fruit Mojito is one of the tastiest and most exotic versions of the mojito! Use freshly cut pink Dragon Fruit (also known as Pitaya) to give your mojito a bright purple hue.

Ingredients

  • Dragon Fruit: Finding Dragon Fruit can be a bit tricky. It’s best to find it during the summer months or you can order it from Amazon.
  • Rum: Use a white rum for this recipe, as it will compliment the lighter flavors nicely.
  • Simple Syrup: Add just a touch of simple syrup to your Dragon Fruit Mojito for sweetness.
  • Mint Leaves: No mojito is complete without fresh mint leaves! Plan on muddling a few into the drink with the Dragon Fruit and then set a couple on the side for garnish.
  • Lime: After muddling, add in lime to brighten the whole cocktail.
  • Sparkling Water: You’ll need sparking water or club soda to fill your glass.

How to Make a Dragon Fruit Mojito

Making this Dragon Fruit Mojito is an elegant (and easy!) way to impress guests or a way to make yourself something special.

Simply add the mint leaves, rum, lime, Dragon Fruit and simple syrup to a glass. Muddle well, until you can smell the mint and lime.

Then, top off your glass with club soda and ice.

Garnish your mojito with extra lime and mint leaves.

Serve your drink immediately.

Best Way to Use the Dragon Fruit

If you are unsure how to peel Dragon Fruit, use this guide to easily cut up your fruit.

It’s best to cup up the fruit into cubes, but you can garnish your mojito with slices of the fruit.

You can also simply eat the Dragon Fruit by scooping it out of the peel. It’s best cold, so eat it straight out of the fridge!

Something to look out for is that pink Dragon Fruit will stain! The purple stain it leaves behind will easily wash out with soap and water but the fruit will stain your fingers and a porous countertop.
