Ingredients

  • Cold Brew: You get to add coffee to an alcoholic beverage! When’s the last time you got to do that! Use a cold brew concentrate – you can make your own or buy one.
  • Vodka: I used a vanilla-flavored vodka in the martini, but you can use a regular vodka plus regular a vanilla sweetener.
  • Kahlua: A coffee flavored liqueur is added to this cold brew martini to compliment both the flavor of the vodka and the coffee in this drink.
  • Lots of ice: Add ice to fill the shaker to cool down the drink before straining since there is no ice in the beverage when drinking.

How to Make a Cold Brew Martini

This three-ingredient Cold Brew Martini is as simple as adding all the ingredients together into the shaker of your choice.

First, you’ll want to find a cocktail shaker and make sure it is clean. Then add ice to fill the shaker.

Then add the ingredients- the vodka, Kahlua and cold brew. Shake vigorously until the outside of the shaker becomes cold.

Strain the drink into a martini glass and serve immediately.

Subs for this Cold Brew Martini

Even though many thinks of martinis’ as drinks that are rigid in their ingredient lists, this drinks has many options for substitutions.

For example, if you don’t have cold brew on hand, you have use espresso, or even your leftover coffee from the morning instead. I prefer using a cold-pressed cold brew, but other type of coffee with work just as well. Using a couple ounces of espresso, cold brew or drip cafe will work in this recipe.

The vodka is anther place for an opportunity for a substitution. Use a clear liquor if you prefer. I used a vanilla-flavored vodka for this recipe but you can use a clean liquor (such as regular vodka or gin) and then add half an ounce of a vanilla syrup to sweeten the martini. Using this method will make this drink a little bit stronger though, so watch out for that!

If you want to make your martini a little creamy, add a bit of vanilla sweet cream cold foam to the mix.
